The Department of Posts is moving towards digital, paperless insurance services under the Advanced Postal Technology (APT) platform. The Dak MITRA application enables Branch Postmasters (BPMs) to perform insurance-related transactions, including PLI/RPLI premium collection, through their Android-based handheld devices.
The new Insurance Management Solution (IMS) was discussed in a PLI/RPLI workshop organised with development by the Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology (CEPT).
