I developed this Excel Calculator to address the practical challenge faced by officials at various SOs and HO in calculating recoverable interest in SCSS deceased claim cases where the date of maturity has already passed.
The calculator is easy to use that requires entry of only 4 key inputs:-
SCSS Principal Amount
Prevailing SCSS Interest Rate
Date of Death
Date of Maturity
Once these details are entered in cells highlighted in yellow, the Excel automatically performs the entire calculation and displays the final Recoverable Amount- ensuring accuracy and saving considerable time. All formula cells are locked to prevent accidental mistakes.
