Subject: Request to take up Finacle software issues with the Directorate/Ministry for necessary system improvements
Respected Sir,
I request you to kindly take up the following Finacle software issues at the Directorate/Ministry level through the union during monthly meetings or any appropriate platform. These issues are affecting day-to-day work in post offices and increasing the risk of errors, fraud, and unnecessary workload on employees.
Issues requiring system improvements
1. Agent Commission Issue in TD Accounts: If a Counter PA opens multiple TD accounts through an agent and later deletes the Transaction ID, but the Supervisor verifies it instead of cancelling it, the agent commission is still credited. This is a software loophole and should be rectified.
2. RD Closure Verification: During RD account closure, when the maturity amount is transferred to another account, the customer's name of the destination account is not displayed. The system should display the account holder's name before confirmation.
3. Agent Identity Verification: While taking the Agent role, employees have to verify the agent's photograph and signature separately. A provision for biometric/thumb impression verification in the system would reduce the possibility of fraud and impersonation.
4. Opening Accounts Despite Insufficient Balance in SOL 0382: The system allows opening of accounts even when sufficient balance is not available in SOL 0382. Necessary validation should be implemented to prevent such cases.
5. MPKBY Role Modification: Supervisors should be provided with an option to modify/update the MPKBY role wherever authorized, to reduce dependency on higher offices for routine corrections.
These improvements will protect employees from avoidable errors, strengthen fraud prevention, simplify departmental work, and improve customer service.
Therefore, I request NAPE Group 'C' to raise these issues before the Postal Directorate and the Ministry of Communications, New Delhi, so that suitable Finacle patches and software modifications are implemented across India Post.
