Reference is invited to the approved schedule communicated for processing of Rule-38 transfer requests for the period from 01.09.2025 to 28.02.2026.
It has been observed that certain officials have interpreted the timeline indicated under the activity "Publishing of Trial Result" (01.06.2026 to 02.06.2026) as the date on which Rule-38 transfer results would be made available for viewing by employees in APT 2.0. The above interpretation is not in accordance with the intended purpose of the schedule.
In this regard, it is clarified that the activity relating to Publishing of Trial Result is an internal administrative milestone meant exclusively for system-level validation, data verification, reconciliation of vacancies, scrutiny of allotments and other processing activities by the concerned authorities. The Trial Result is not intended for publication to employees and shall not be treated as the transfer result date.
Employees may note that the outcome of the Rule-38 transfer cycle shall be made available only after completion of the activities covered under Provisional Allotment List, scheduled from 03.06.2026 to 05.06.2026. The provisional allotment details shall be made visible in APT 2.0 only after completion of the prescribed processing, validation and deployment activities.
Accordingly, officials are advised not to draw any conclusions based on the Trial Result timeline and to await publication of the Provisional Allotment List, which alone shall constitute the first stage of allotment visible to employees in the system.
CEPT is working rigorously in coordination with Directorate, Circles and other stakeholders to complete all activities within the approved timelines while ensuring correctness, transparency and adherence to the extant guidelines governing Rule-38 transfers.
All concerned are requested to take note of the above clarification and avoid dissemination of incorrect or misleading information regarding the transfer schedule.
This clarification is being issued in view of multiple references received from various Circles and officials regarding interpretation of the approved Rule-38 schedule.
