Subject: Advisory on DE/GDS Combined Profile – Procurement and Commission Calculation


It has been observed that multiple tickets are being raised regarding the following issues:


1. Commission is not being calculated for certain Agent (DE/GDS) profiles.
2. Users are unable to change the Agent at the DE/QC stage for proposals indexed through the RICT device.
3. Procurement of new policies is not happening through certain DE/GDS profiles.


The above cases have been analyzed and it has been confirmed that the system is functioning as designed and in accordance with the approved SRS.


As part of the implementation of the new hierarchy structure, the existing combined *DE/GDS* profile is no longer supported. The approved design clearly stipulates that:


* Commission calculation will not be carried out for agents operating under the legacy combined DE/GDS profile.
* Procurement of new policies through the legacy combined DE/GDS profile is not supported under the new hierarchy.
* Agent-related operations, including changes at DE/QC stages for proposals indexed through RICT devices, may not function as expected for users continuing under the obsolete combined profile.


It was envisaged that the bifurcation/migration of existing combined DE/GDS profiles into the newly defined hierarchy profiles would be completed prior to the rollout of the hierarchy changes. However, it appears that some users are still operating under the legacy combined profile.


Accordingly, all Circles/Regions/Divisions are requested to:


1. Review and identify users operating under the old combined DE/GDS profile.
2. Take necessary action for migration/bifurcation of such users into the appropriate profiles as per the new hierarchy structure.
3. Sensitize all concerned officials, DEs, GDSs, and supervisory staff regarding the discontinuation of the combined DE/GDS profile.
4. Ensure that proposals are procured only through valid profiles available in the new hierarchy.
5. Refrain from raising tickets on the above issues, as the application is functioning as per the approved design and requirements.


All field units are requested to treat this matter on priority and disseminate these instructions to all concerned users immediately to avoid operational issues and unnecessary ticket inflow.


This issues with the legacy DE/GDS combined profile should be addressed administratively through profile correction/migration rather than by raising application support tickets.
