Subject: Readiness and commencement of booking for 24 SPEED POST and 48 SPEED POST articles
This refers to the Video Conference held on 19.12.2025 regarding the Product Launch Core Group discussion, during which the roadmap for the product launch was deliberated and shared.
2. As decided in the Core Group meeting, the timeline for the product launch was fixed as 05.01.2026. It is informed that the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the product has been completed successfully and the product is now ready for testing in the live environment.
3. The Circles are requested to assess the readiness of Post Offices, including the availability of required packaging material, counter infrastructure such as thermal printers, etc., and to instruct the identified Post Offices for commence booking of 24 Speed Post and 48 Speed Post with effect from 07.01.2026.
4. All identified Offices for booking of 24 SPEED POST shall book normal Speed Post articles destined for the 6 metro cities including TD as 24 SPEED POST up to the prescribed cut-off time and as 48 SPEED POST after the cut-off time.
5. Since this pre-launch tech enabled pilot is being monitored at the highest level and the weekly progress is reviewed by Hon MoC during the Dashboard meeting, so all concerned Circle nodal officers (concerned PMG/DPS) will ensure strict adherence to the SOP at all stages of handling. CEPT will ensure accessibility of desired KPIs as per SOP on MIS dashboard for both the products from 08.01.2026 onwards with all concerned Circles/Regions/Divisions as well as Mail Division, Postal Directorate.
