Classification &levels . All the central services/Posts are now classified in three Groups only....

GROUP A, GROUP B & GROUP C.

 

The erstwhile GROUP D employees and the MTS have now been included in GROUP C.

Levels &classifications are determined, only with reference to the functional posts held by the officials and not linked to that level &pay matrix as obtained by the MACP.

 Example. 

If a postal assistant gets the level 6 in the pay matrix...(equal to HSG II CADRE SCALE ..PAY MATRIX)by financial upgradation MACP , then the classification will not be GROUP B.

He will continue to be a GROUP C Official only w.r.t his POST. 

(Level 4).
