Department of Posts letter No. 17-08/2018-SPN-I dt 18.10.2023 - Procedure for selection of candidate based on single examination for the posts of MTS Postman Mail Guard:-

Procedure for selection of candidate based on single examination for the posts of MTS Postman Mail Guard was circulated on 15.06.2022 and subsequently Recruitment Rules of MTS / Postman / Mailguard have been modified. Accordingly the Competent Authority has approved the revised procedure as under:

At the time of seeking application for examination, applicants shall be asked to exercise following ‘option’ and ‘order of preference’

Option for post:- to be considered for which posts – Postman / Mailguard / MTS.


Applicant may give option for one, two or all three posts and candidature for selection will be considered only if a post has been opted for subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions. For example, an applicant will be considered for Mailguard only if option is given for Mailguard , otherwise his candidature will not be considered while preparing merit list for Mailguard...

ஒரே தேர்வின் மூலமாக தபால்காரர் / MTS / Mail Guard தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் வழிமுறைகள் 15.06.2022 தேதியிட்ட கடிதத்தின் மூலமாக சொல்லப்பட்டது.  அதனை தொடர்ந்து தபால்காரர் / MTS / Mail Guard நியமன விதிகளில் மாற்றம் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டதால் கீழ்க்கண்ட வழிமுறை மாற்றங்கள் அறிவுருத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது:

தேர்விற்கான விண்ணப்பங்கள் பெறப்படும் போது தபால்காரர் / MTS / Mail Guard பதவிகளில் நியமனம் பெற தேர்வர்களின் விருப்பமும், முன்னுரிமையும் பெறப்படும்.

பதவிகளுக்கான விருப்பம்:- தபால்காரர் / MTS / Mail Guard பதவிகளில் எந்தெந்த பதவிகளுக்கு தேர்வர்கள் நியமனத்திற்கு கருதப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதற்கானது.

ஒன்று, இரண்டு அல்லது அனைத்து பதவிகளுக்கும் தங்களது விருப்பத்தினை தெரிவிக்கலாம், என்றாலும் அந்த பதவிகளுக்குரிய தகுதளை பெற்றிருக்கும் பட்சத்தில் மட்டுமே அவர்கள் அவற்றின் நியமனத்திற்கு பதவி உயர்வின் போது கருதப்படுவார்கள்.

உதாரணமாக ஒரு நபர் Mailguard பதவிக்கு விருப்பம் தெரிவித்தால் மட்டுமே அவர் அதற்கு கருதப்படுவார், இல்லையென்றால் அவற்றிர்கான தகுதி பட்டியல் தயார் செய்யப்படும் போது அவருடய பெயர் அதனுள் சேர்க்கப்பட மாட்டாது...
