UNIVERSAL CLIENT (UC) – LOGIN AUTHENTICATION
Introduction of Enhanced Security Measures for Universal Client (UC) Login
As per the reported security update, UIDAI has introduced enhanced authentication measures for Universal Client (UC) Login, effective from today.
Key Updates:
1. Fingerprint-Based Authentication: Iris authentication is reportedly being replaced by fingerprint authentication for UC Login.
2. Random Fingerprint Verification: During the login process, the system may prompt operators to authenticate using a randomly selected fingerprint.
3. Enhanced Security Compliance: Operators must complete the prescribed biometric authentication process to access the Universal Client.
4. Prevention of Unauthorized Access: These enhanced security measures are intended to strengthen system security and prevent unauthorized access, identity misuse, fraudulent activities and potential security breaches.
5. Dummy Biometric Methods: Operators are advised that dummy fingerprint or dummy iris methods may no longer work under the updated authentication mechanism.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL OPERATORS:
- Follow the prescribed biometric authentication procedure.
- Ensure that all registered fingerprints are available for verification.
- Do not attempt to bypass or manipulate the authentication process.
- Follow official instructions and notifications issued by UIDAI.
